Day of the Ukrainian Hustka 2025

Born of Love, Inspired by Tradition, Empowered by the Spirit of Ukrainian Women

In a world that changes rapidly — where borders blur and war reminds us of the value of every symbol of unity — the Ukrainian scarf (hustka) has become more than an element of national attire.
It has transformed into a symbol of spiritual strength, feminine dignity, and love for the Motherland.

That is why in 2019, a unique international cultural and patriotic project was born — “DUH” – The Day of the Ukrainian Hustka, initiated by Liudmyla Stanislavenko, Head of the Global Council of the WORLD WOMAN CLUB — an international network of women leaders uniting successful and inspiring women from over 30 countries worldwide.

The Birth of the DUH Project

The idea of creating the Day of the Ukrainian Hustka emerged from a deep realisation that every Ukrainian woman carries within her a special spirit — soul, strength, tenderness, will, and faith.
The scarf has become a living embodiment of that spirit, accompanying Ukrainian women through every stage of life — from childhood to maturity, from joy to loss, from peace to struggle.

This is how the concept of “DUH” was born — where each letter holds meaning:
D – Day
U – Ukraine
H – Hustka

The project united women not only from Ukraine but from all over the world — from London, Paris, Warsaw, New York, Toronto, Sydney, and many other cities — where the Ukrainian scarf has become a sign of female pride, beauty, and resilience.

December 7 — The World Day of the Ukrainian Hustka

Every year on December 7, women around the world put on their hustkas (scarves) to show unity, love for tradition, and faith in Ukraine’s victory.

This year’s motto shines with special meaning: “The True Hustka — The True You.”

We do not just wear a hustka — we wear our history. Every pattern tells of destiny, every colour holds memory, every knot ties us to our roots.

And beyond symbolism, we act — because DUH is not only a celebration but also a charitable movement.

Part of all funds raised through the campaign goes to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The Main Flashmob with Ukrainian Character
The DUH Flashmob is a modern form of national unity that brings together culture, fashion, tradition, and patriotism.

This year’s flashmob will run from November 5, 2025, to December 5, 2025, with the grand celebration and charity lottery to take place on December 7 at the elegant Montblanc Restaurant in Vinnytsia (Soborna Street, 34).

How to Join the DUH Flashmob
1. Take a photo wearing a Ukrainian scarf — in your everyday city look (coat, hoodie, jeans, jacket). The scarf should be the main accent of your outfit.

2. Post your photo or story on Facebook, tag the page DUH – The World Day of the Ukrainian Hustka and add hashtags:

#WorldDayOfTheUkrainianHustka #DUH #КУЖ #КлубУспішнихЖінок #TheTrueHustka_TheTrueMe #By_Stanislavenko #WWC #WorldWomanClub #ЖінкиУкраїни

After that, you automatically become a participant in the festive DUH Giveaway!
Unique Gifts and a Charitable Mission.

Among all participants, four exclusive scarves will be raffled off — each one created under the personal initiative of Liudmyla Stanislavenko, the founder of the project.

These are not just fashion accessories — they are true family heirlooms, created in one-of-a-kind editions.

Participants can win in three categories:
💠 for participation in the flashmob;
💠 for a charitable donation of 200 UAH or more;
💠 during the festive DUH lottery on December 7 in Vinnytsia.

You can support the project via the Monobank link:
Monobank Donation Card number: 4874 1000 2109 5826

If your donation is 2,000 UAH or more, your name (or organisation’s name) will be written on the Flag of the World Day of the Ukrainian Hustka, which will unite women of Ukraine and the world —
as a symbol of women’s unity, faith, and gratitude to our defenders.

The Mission of “DUH” — More Than a Tradition
In this project, the scarf is not just a piece of fabric — it is a guardian, a symbol of peace, love, and national dignity. Through it, we send a message to the world:
The Ukrainian woman is strength, beauty, wisdom, and unbreakable will.
When we wear the hustka, we unite the past, present, and future — honoring our mothers, grandmothers, and sisters, while shaping the image of a new Ukraine — modern, free, and strong.

DUH and WORLD WOMAN CLUB — Women’s Diplomacy of Peace
The WORLD WOMAN CLUB (WWC), founded by Dr Olga Azarova, supports DUH as part of a global cultural diplomacy initiative.
Under the leadership of Liudmyla Stanislavenko, Head of the Global Council of WWC, DUH has grown beyond a national celebration — becoming an international symbol of peace, beauty, and spiritual unity.

The Flag of the World Day of the Ukrainian Hustka has already travelled to many countries,
where Ukrainian women gathered to meet it — united by a shared purpose:
to bring light, kindness, and faith in Ukraine’s victory to the world.

“The true hustka is the true you. The true you is Ukraine. And Ukraine is love that always wins.”
— Liudmyla Stanislavenko
