В ЕС хотят заставить Google и Facebook платить издателям за новости
Законодательные органы Евросоюза хотят изменить закон о цифровых услугах, заставив крупных тех-гигантов, таких как Google и Facebook платить за новости, пишет Financial Times.
Поправки могут коснуться обязательного арбитража сделок с правообладателями, а также обязанности технологических компаний информировать издателей об изменениях в алгоритме оценки новостей на своих сайтах.
В Google, похоже, не расстраиваются из-за таких инициатив: компания заявила, что такие нововведения «направлены на достижение правильного баланса» между издателями и платформами и подтвердили свою готовность платить за поддержку журналистики. В Facebook отказались от комментариев, сообщает FT.
