The international startup championship for youth kicks off a new season
As of June 2025, the first stage of the annual Startup World Cup Championship (SWCC) — the Certification Stage — is officially underway. Once again held in an online format, the event unites young entrepreneurs from around the globe, all of whom are students of the MINIBOSS & BIGBOSS BUSINESS SCHOOLS.
SWCC is more than just a competition. It is a core component of a unique academic methodology developed by the International Business Academy Consortium (IBAC). This educational system, created by distinguished scholar and educator Olga Azarova, blends gamification with real entrepreneurial experience. It allows students to create actual startups — from initial idea to product or service launch.
Throughout the academic year, participants follow one of eight signature educational programs:
- MINIBOSS: ABC of Economics and Entrepreneurship
- PROFESSIONAL: Career Orientation and Success Mapping
- SUCCESSOR: Family Economics and Business
- CREATOR: Idea Generation and Creativity
- MERCHANT: Marketing Research and Development
- ENTREPRENEUR: History of Business and Innovations
- INVENTOR: Theory and Practice of Innovations
- RHETOR: Coaching, Communications and Networking
Upon successful project defense at SWCC, students receive certificates and diplomas. Top performers gain international recognition and qualify to compete in the championship finals. A notable highlight of the event is the awarding of UN Gold Medals in 17 categories aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
All projects are evaluated by a jury of experienced entrepreneurs and global experts, providing participants not only with feedback, but with real opportunities to take their startups to the next level. SWCC empowers youth as young as six years old to develop entrepreneurial thinking, leadership skills, creativity, and teamwork.
