From McQueen’s homecoming and Christopher Kane’s debut at Mulberry to Burberry, Simone Rocha, Erdem and a new generation of designers, London Fashion Week returns with one of its most ambitious programmes in recent years.
London Fashion Week opens on 17 September 2026 and runs through Monday, 21 September, presenting primarily the Spring/Summer 2027 collections. This September edition is unusually substantial: the British Fashion Council has confirmed 47 catwalk shows, 23 presentations, 10 digital activations and 53 evening events, combining major British houses, emerging talent, retail brands, public events and experimental formats.
The week arrives at an important moment for British fashion. After several seasons in which London’s ability to retain its biggest names was frequently debated, September 2026 brings high-profile returns alongside a deliberate effort by the British Fashion Council to broaden the definition of what a fashion week can be. This is no longer simply five days of invitation-only runway shows: retail, digital commerce, immersive experiences, cinema, music, public programming and second-hand fashion all occupy significant places on the schedule.
British Fashion Council is a not-for-profit organisation that aims to further the interests of the British fashion industry and its designer businesses by harnessing and sharing collective knowledge, experience and resources.
London Fashion Week is a clothing trade show held in London twice a year, in February and September, showcasing over 250 designers to a global audience of influential media and retailers.
The Big Names: Who Is Showing in London?
The most important headline is McQueen. The house returns to London Fashion Week under creative director Seán McGirr, presenting both womenswear and menswear on Sunday evening. It is McGirr’s first London Fashion Week collection for the house and McQueen’s first show in its home city since the Spring/Summer 2023 presentation under Sarah Burton. McGirr has described London as central to the identity and creative energy of McQueen, making the return much more than a routine change of fashion-week location.
Another closely watched return is Mulberry, where Christopher Kane will unveil his first collection for the British house. Its Sunday afternoon slot makes the debut one of the major appointments of the entire week.
London’s established creative names are also strongly represented. Burberry, currently under chief creative officer Daniel Lee, closes the main programme on Monday evening. The brand is simultaneously celebrating its 170th anniversary, with the V&A opening a display devoted to the history and evolution of the Burberry trench.
The official line-up also includes Simone Rocha, Erdem, Harris Reed, Richard Quinn, Roksanda, Barbour, Bora Aksu, Ahluwalia, KNWLS, Chopova Lowena, Aaron Esh, Paolo Carzana, Patrick McDowell, Di Petsa and many others.
At the emerging end of the spectrum, Francesca Lake, Gui Rosa and Petra Fagerström make their LFW debuts through BFC NEWGEN, while Fashion East returns with Goyagoma, Jacek Gleba and Mé Mé. Indian label Lovebirds also joins the official schedule for the first time.
The Programme, Day by Day
The following programme concentrates on the principal catwalks, presentations and culturally significant events. The official schedule is current as of 17 September 2026 and may still be adjusted during the week.
Thursday, 17 September — Opening Day
London begins traditionally with Paul Costelloe at 10:00, followed by Stephen Jones Millinery appointments and the opening of the BFC Jewellery Showcase at Dover Street Market, which runs from 11:00 to 19:00 and is open to the public.
The day quickly moves into newer talent: Joyce Bao presents from 11:30, Keburia shows at noon, Agro Studio at 13:00, and NEWGEN designer Francesca Lake presents from 13:30.
The afternoon includes Maximilian Raynor at 14:00, Mithridate at 15:00, Mark Fast at 16:00 and a Barbour presentation from 16:30.
At 17:00, eBay stages Endless Runway, its pre-loved fashion concept. This season, pieces come from wardrobes connected to figures including Adwoa Aboah, Akinola Davis Jr, Charles Jeffrey, Harry Lambert, Isabella Burley, Kai Isaiah Jamal and Osman Ahmed, with items available to shop through eBay Live.
Harris Reed takes the 18:00 slot, followed by Ksenia Schnaider at 19:00.
The major opening-night spectacle arrives at 20:00 with H&M&YOU&I: A Fashion Story, part of H&M’s collaboration with photographer Nick Knight and SHOWstudio, conceived as a rethink of the conventional fashion-show format.
Friday, 18 September — Retail Meets New-Generation London
Friday starts with the LFW Network Breakfast before the first major NEWGEN appearance, Petra Fagerström at 10:00.
Bora Aksu shows at 11:00, followed at noon by one of this season’s most unusual debuts: Marks & Spencer’s first London Fashion Week catwalk.
The M&S appearance represents a significant shift in the boundaries between designer fashion and British mass retail. Its collection uses a “see now, buy now” format, allowing the commercial offer to connect immediately to the runway rather than following the traditional six-month fashion cycle.
Friday continues with Susan Fang at 13:00, Ashley Williams at 14:00, Oscar Ouyang at 15:00, A Letter at 16:00 and Fashion East at 17:00.
The evening features Annie’s at 18:00, Aaron Esh at 19:00, Natasha Zinko at 20:00 and Paolo Carzana at 21:00.
There is also a notable crossover between design and heritage craftsmanship with a Wedgwood x JW Anderson event during the afternoon.
Saturday, 19 September — London’s Experimental Core
Saturday begins with a Lulu Guinness breakfast and moves into Talia Byre at 10:00.
At 11:00, Patrick McDowell presents a catwalk created in partnership with Pandora, with jewellery deliberately integrated into the garments and styling rather than treated simply as accessories.
John Richmond follows at noon, while Ahluwalia shows at 13:00. NEWGEN recipient Pauline Dujancourt takes the 14:00 slot.
The afternoon and evening become increasingly concentrated with some of London’s most directional names: TOGA at 15:00, Dreaming Eli at 16:00, KNWLS at 17:00, Richard Quinn at 18:00, Yuhan Wang at 19:00, before Chopova Lowena closes the main Saturday programme at 20:00.
Chopova Lowena is also extending the fashion-week experience beyond the runway through its East London Clubhouse, the brand’s first brick-and-mortar store, open during 17–19 September.
Sunday, 20 September — The Blockbuster Day
Sunday is arguably the most internationally significant day of LFW September 2026.
Simone Rocha opens the major runway schedule at 10:00, followed by Edeline Lee at 11:00.
At noon comes Erdem, another of London’s internationally recognised houses.
Emilia Wickstead takes a different approach at 13:00, inviting guests into her SS27 world through a screening rather than a conventional runway presentation.
At 13:30, designer-in-residence 5000, supported by the Paul Smith Foundation, stages an immersive experience built around music and sound.
Labrum London follows at 14:00.
Then comes one of the week’s most anticipated debuts:
15:00 — Mulberry by Christopher Kane.
Kane’s appointment brings together two very different British fashion identities: Mulberry’s heritage leather-goods tradition and the designer’s history of experimental, often provocative London fashion.
At 16:30, J.L-A.L presents another new-format fashion experience, connected to its collaboration with Puma and followed by a celebratory event.
Roksanda shows at 17:00, Onalaja follows at 18:00 and, finally:
20:00 — McQueen
Seán McGirr’s London debut for McQueen is positioned as the climax of Sunday and one of the defining events of the entire September season.
Monday, 21 September — Burberry Brings the Week Home
Monday has a somewhat lighter schedule but still contains several important names.
Selasi shows at 10:00, followed by Di Petsa at 11:00 and Tolu Coker at noon.
At 12:30, Bella Freud’s Fashion Neurosis moves into the Underground Cinema, screening podcast material involving figures including Alex Consani and Stefano Pilati. It is another example of LFW increasingly treating fashion as a broader cultural medium rather than simply a product on a catwalk.
The afternoon includes Clara Chu, NEWGEN designer Liza Keane, and Sól Hansdóttir.
Then at 19:00, Burberry closes the principal official schedule — an especially symbolic finale in the year in which the house marks 170 years of its history.
